As part of this years North East Food & Wine Festival (NEFWF), some of our top Beechworth winemakers will be showcasing their wines with seasonally matched dishes for a Long Lunch at Yardbird, in Albury on Sunday October 27.
The NEFWF is a celebration of food and wine, and is presented by Wodonga Council. With events running from October 25 to October 27, 2024, there are many smaller events speckled around both Wodonga and Albury across the weekend that will excite you.
One of which is an event where the Beechworth Vignerons have partnered with Yardbird to deliver an afternoon of sublime wine, matched with local, seasonally-inspired dishes, curated by the talented team at Yardbird. Head chef Simon Arkless and General Manager Cait Mitchelhill, with their team, will have guests treated to the North East’s finest, and locally sourced dishes. A four-course Long Lunch, matched with award-winning Beechworth wines. Four winemakers will be showcasing two wines each, throughout the afternoon. They’ll be sharing their winemaking process, and why their wines have been matched with each dish. If you love Beechworth wine, and exquisite seasonal food, this is not an event to miss!

- Venue: Yardbird, 493 Townsend Street, Albury
- Time: 11:30am welcome, with the first course served at 12 noon. Guests to leave by 03:00pm.
- Menu: Four-courses, matched wines (two wines per course)
We recommend not driving home from this event and suggest having a designated driver, or other means to travel to your next destination. As the amount of wine served over the afternoon will be more than 1.5 standard drinks per hour, it would not be safe for you to drive a vehicle.
