Beechworth Wine Region
Enjoy one of the most diverse wine growing ecologies found anywhere in world
Unfolding from the continental side of Victoria's Alpine slopes, the Beechworth wine region enjoys one of the most diverse wine growing ecologies found anywhere in world.
From naturally carved valleys to elevated open plains, Beechworth and its neighbours, Everton, Stanley, Wooragee, and Murmungee shares an intricate network of geological formations, weather patterns, and soil compositions producing a disparate collection a grape varietal, unmatched in more recognised wine growing regions.
Renowned for its medley of geologic complexities, coupled with the talents and dedication of some of Australia's finest wine makers, the Beechworth wine region has established itself on the world stage.
The Beechworth Vignerons Association is the representative body for the producers in the Beechworth Wine Region. The BVA presents the face of Beechworth wine to the world
Consisting of over 30 producers, ranging from small acreage producers to larger scale operations catering to tour groups, dining and events, the Beechworth vignerons are a tight knit community contributing specialised skill sets and unique heritage.
For many of the growers, remaining true custodians to the art of producing exceptional quality wine, whilst maintaining a considered investment in the regions environmental health takes precedent over commercial expansion.
Boasting over 30 family owned and independent growers and producers, the Beechworth Vignerons continue to play a significant role in the resurgence of the region’s popularity as a food and wine destination.
Our region is serviced by planes, trains, and buses. Albury Airport, VLine and NSW Translink XPT rail services and Wangaratta and VLine Coach services provide plenty of safe transport options.
